Frequently Asked Questions.
Newly planted grass seed should be watered twice daily for a period of 10-15 minutes each. Ideally it is watered in the morning and evening each day, avoiding mid-day watering. The goal is to keep the top inch of soil damp for seed germination. Continue to do this until you have mowed your new grass 2 times. This process should take 3-4 weeks.
Your grass should be cut weekly at a height between 3 and 3.5 inches during the mowing season. This promotes a good root structure and helps keeps weeds down. In the fall before winter it is appropriate to cut your lawn at 2-2.5 inches.
Homeowners and pets should stay off lawn until application is completely dry. This can take anywhere from 15 minutes – 24 hours weather depending.
